With more and more people connecting to the Internet on a daily basis, it’s no wonder that the need to improve your Internet & download speed has become a primary focus of many businesses and personal users. Fortunately, there’s actually a very simple set of steps you can use to improve the speed of your Internet connection and here is how…

Why do Internet Connections Run Slow

There are various reasons why Internet connections become slow, including:
Your computer will have a series of problems / errors
The “raw speed” of the Internet connection will be too slow
Your computer will have too many files to open

The most common causes are an outdated system, your PC does not have the correct settings required to run the different web browsers, too many programs running at the same time and your internet provider experiencing problems. Slow internet connections can also be caused by too much junk files and registry problems, internet users need to repair these problems to be able to speed up their Internet speed.

How to Make Speed Up Internet Browsing

Step 1: Setting the Number of Connections per Session.
Internet explorer limits the number of connections it opens when you click on a link to open an new web page. Microsoft did this to comply with HTTP 1.1 standards but it also really slows down things when you open a new website and download the sites images. So to change that go to the start menu and select run. In the run command type regedit and click OK to open the registry editor. In the registry editor navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER SoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInternet Settings. Here change the MaxConnectionsPerServer and MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server to a number you wish. That’s it, once done restart windows and you are all set. Just a note that this will effect all windows applications that use the internet explorer api so if something else is not working right that is why.

Step 2. Reinstall the Browsers
Another big cause of a slow Internet connection is that your web browser is corrupted or damaged. This is caused just from daily use and is a problem that many Internet browsers are prone to having. You should reinstall your browsers by clicking on Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove programs and then click “Uninstall” next to your current browser. You should then head to the homepage of the browser and then download the latest version to reinstall it. This should remove any damaged program files and replace them with fresh new ones which will make your system better able to browse the Internet.

Step 3. Clean Web Browser History
You can speed up your internet connection by cleaning the junk data stored in browser history or cache. You can use reliable System Utilities software which includes Browser Cleaner feature to remove scrap from your browser. To clean browser history manually follow the steps below:

  1. Open Internet Explorer from your desktop
  2. Click on Tools
  3. Go to Internet Options
  4. Click on General tab
  5. Press the Clear History button located in right bottom
  6. Click Apple and then OK

The above steps are meant for the Internet Explorer only. If you are using other browsers such as Chrome or Firefox, go to the settings option to manually delete junk data from browsers.

Step 4. Clean Out The Registry
The registry stores the settings, information and files for your computer and is the main part of Windows which helps it ‘remember’ a variety of different options for your system. It’s often the case that the registry becomes damaged and corrupted, which causes your Internet browsers such as FireFox and Internet Explorer to take longer to process the web pages and downloads that you want. You can clean out this part of your computer by using Advanced PC Tweaker to scan through all the damaged files that are inside it and fixing them.

How long now before I get a new refund date? Error code says 1121 now, but already been 6 weeks since I filed?
Update on status… finally the Advocate stated that my check was pulled before the system could update on 3/9. I haven’t recieved my refund yet and now stating 1121 error. How much longer before I get my check…? I filed on 2/9 and have had my refund reduced twice and already recieved the CP12 form with the reduced amounts on the 10th and the 12th of March. My husband and I paid in 11K (way too much we know but we are only claiming the allowed amount on our W4) So we went into this tax season with 0 tax liability (4 children less then 86K in income) and ridiculous property taxes …… anyway, I entered everything on our return legit, so why pull ours? What’s the deal with such a long delay?
The advocate said it would take 10days to post a new refund date… well, no refund date has been posted and 1121 still appears. Started with 9021 error then a deposit date with a note that there were math errors and delayed until mail date 3/9 and now code 1121. ?
